Support Cable Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the endgate (drop mode).
2. Support the endgate using the prop rod.




3. Remove the bolts retaining the support cable to the endgate and the body.
4. Remove the support cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the support cable to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts retaining the support cable to the endgate and to the body.

Tighten the support cable bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Remove the prop rod and return it to its storage position.
4. Close the endgate.
