Tire Hoist and Shaft ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire carrier.
3. Remove spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts from the frame.
4. Remove the spare wheel hoist assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the spare wheel hoist assembly to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts to the frame Tighten Tighten the spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts to the frame to 50 Nm (37 inch lbs.).
3. Install the spare tire to the spare tire carrier.
4. Lower the vehicle.
