Service Information
Condition:
Some customers may comment that the front door glass is binding, slow, noisy or inoperative.
Possible Cause:
With the door glass in the down position, the glass may come out of the channel when the door is closed.
Correction:
Install the new window guide clip. Service Procedure
1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in the Service Manual.
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement in the Service Manual.
3. If necessary, loosen the regulator window carrier bolts, move the glass forward into the front channel and tighten.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).
4. Install the window guide clip to the bracket on the side of the channel.
Figure 1 is without the clip and Figure 2 shows the clip installed.
5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement in the Service Manual.
6. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in the Service Manual.
