Electrical - MIL ON/4WD Inoperative/Erratic Fuel Gauge
SOURCE: Isuzu Service News
TITLE: 4WD Inoperative and/or Erratic Fuel Gauge and/or DTC's
APPLIES TO: 03-05 Ascender 4WD
SERVICE TIP:
Condition:
A vehicle may exhibit: 4WD inoperative, SES lamp, and/or erratic fuel gauge operation. Possible DTCs are C0327, P0452, P0453, P0461, P0462, and P0464.
Correction:
A possible cause of these symptoms is a loose connection at the C101 connector, a 38-way connector mounted inboard on the underhood fuse block. All terminal connections should be checked in this connector for integrity.
NOTE: When servicing this connector, special care should be made not to damage other terminals. Fully seat the connector squarely with both hands, and then latch the locking portion of the connector (CPA). Do not use the lock mechanism on the connector to pull the connector halves together as this may cause more bent terminals and poor connections.
