TITLE: B3606 Heated Seat(s) Inoperative and/or Adjustable Pedals Do Not Recall

Condition:

Heated seat(s) inoperative and/or adjustable pedals do not recall by driver 1 or 2. This concern is related to a vehicle that has both RPO KA1 (heated seats and JF4 (power adjustable pedals). Also inspect for DTC B3606 in the Seat Control Module (SCM).

Correction:

Please follow the instructions below:
1. Confirm the vehicle is equipped with RPO KA1 (heated seats) and JF4 (power adjustable pedals)
2. Check for DTCs in the seat control module (SCM). Document then clear all DTCs. Follow diagnostics for any current DTC that will not clear.
3. Unplug the pedal position sensor.
4. If the heated seat begins to work with the pedal position sensor unplugged, replace the pedal position sensor with part number 8-88982-977-0.
5. If the seat does not begin to work, leave the pedal position senor unplugged and refer to the Service Manual for further information.
6. Once the heated seats have been repaired, reconnect the pedal position sensor and re-evaluate the adjustable pedal operation.
