Service Information
NOTE:
It is critical to use the proper OEM wheel weights when service requires the tire/wheel assemblies to be balanced. Failure to use the proper OEM wheel weights may result in damage, marring the wheel assembly and will NOT be covered under the vehicles warranty.
IMPORTANT:
Use the special polyester-coated weights listed on the tables below when balancing factory aluminum wheels with clip-on wheel balance weights, which will reduce the potential for corrosion and damage to aluminum wheels.
IMPORTANT:
Use a nylon or plastic-tipped hammer when installing coated clip-on wheel balancing weights to minimize the possibility of damage to the polyester coating.
Above is an illustration of the weight configuration approved for the Affected Vehicles. The weight should follow the contour of the rim flange and grip firmly to the rim flange.
