Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.





2. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).





3. Remove the VSS with O-ring seal.

Installation Procedure





1. Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the VSS with O-ring seal.
^ Tighten the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).





2. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
3. Lower the vehicle.
