Lower Ball Joint Replacement (4WD)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the steering knuckle.
2. Remove the ball joint nuts and bolts from the lower control arm. Discard the nuts and bolts.
3. Remove the ball joint from the lower control arm.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the ball joint to the upper control arm.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the new ball joint nuts and bolts to the lower control arm.
^ Tighten the nuts to 64 Nm (47 ft. lbs.),
3. Install the steering knuckle.
4. Verify the wheel alignment.
