SES Light And Reduced Engine Power With DTC P060E, P2135 And/Or P2138 - Reprogram PCM

AFFECTED VEHICLES

^ 2006-2007 MY Isuzu Ascender

^ 2006-2007 MY Isuzu I-Series Truck

Equipped with 4.2L Engine

INFORMATION

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptoms described in this information bulletin

CONDITION

A SES light and reduced engine power mode may be experienced as a result of DTCs P060E, P2135 and/or P2138.

RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS:

If the concern is experienced perform normal diagnostics per the service manuals and any other related bulletins. If the cause of this concern is not isolated reprogram the ECM with the latest engine diagnostic calibration titled "New calibration with diagnostic enhancements for DTCs P2135 P2138 and P060E on Global TIS version 3.0. This calibration or any that follow is designed to address this concern.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
