Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement (Buick)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the console shift lever bezel.




2. Remove the lower trim plate retaining screws.
3. Starting at the bottom of the trim plate, release the 2 lower retaining clips and the 2 intermediate retaining clips.
4. Release the 3 upper retaining clips.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors as necessary.
6. If replacing the trim plate, perform the following steps:

1. Remove the rear windshield wiper switch.
2. If equipped, remove the cigar lighter and 12-volt power supply.

Installation Procedure

1. If installing a new trim plate, perform the following steps:

1. If equipped, install the cigar lighter or 12-volt power supply outlets. R
2. Install the rear windshield wiper switch.




2. Connect the electrical connectors as necessary.
3. Install the trim plate to the IP. Ensure that all of the retaining clips are properly seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the lower trim plate retaining screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

5. Install the console shift lever bezel.
