Disc Brake Hardware Replacement
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution.
Caution: Refer to Brake Caliper Notice.
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the brake caliper from the mounting bracket.
2. Relocate brake caliper and support.
3. Remove the outboard brake pad from the mounting bracket.
4. Remove the inboard brake pad from the mounting bracket.
5. Remove guide pins from mounting bracket.
6. Remove the guide pin seal from the mounting bracket.
7. Remove the brake pads shims from the mounting bracket.
8. Clean the brake caliper mounting bracket with denatured alcohol.
9. Dry the brake caliper mounting bracket using non-lubricated, filtered air.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the NEW brake pads shims on the mounting bracket.
2. Apply a small amount of high temperature lubricant on the guide pins.
3. Install the guide pins in the mounting bracket.
4. Install the guide pin seal.
5. Install the inner brake pads to the mounting bracket.
6. Install the outer brake pad to the mounting bracket.
7. Remove the brake caliper from the support.
8. Install the brake caliper assembly.
