Turbocharger






Components


Removal

1. Drain engine cooling water.
2. Remove the front exhaust pipe A.
- Remove the clamping nuts of exhaust pipe A and turbocharger.
- Remove the clamping nuts of exhaust pipe A and exhaust brake assembly.
- At this time, the exhaust brake assembly is removed at the same time.
- Remove the bolt of clamping exhaust pipe A bracket and the right side of transmission.







3. Disconnect the air intake duct (1) from the turbocharger.

NOTE: Do not remove the tamper proof bolts that clamps the PCV hose from the intake duct.

4. Remove the charge air hose (2) from the turbocharger and the charge air cooler.







5. Disconnect the water return pipe from the turbocharger.
- Remove the eye bolt from the turbocharger.
- Remove the bolts from the pipe mounting clips.
- Remove the fan guide bracket bolt.







6. Remove the water return pipe bracket (1).







7. Remove the oil feed pipe.
- Remove the eye bolt from the turbocharger.
- Remove the bolts from the pipe mounting clips.

8. Remove the water feed pipe.
- Remove the bolt from the pipe mounting clip.
- Remove the eye bolts from the turbocharger and the cylinder block.

9. Remove the oil return pipe.
10. Disconnect the connector from the turbocharger actuator.
11. Remove the turbocharger.
- Remove the four turbocharger clamping nuts (1), (4).
- Remove the exhaust adapter mounting bolt (3).
- Remove the turbocharger assembly with the exhaust adapter from the exhaust manifold.







- Remove the turbocharger heat protector.
- Remove the exhaust adapter heat protector.
- Remove the exhaust adapter bolts.
