Removal
1. Raise and support front of car, then remove front wheels.
2. Remove clips, pins, ``M'' type spring, shims and brake shoes, Fig. 1.
3. Remove any dirt or foreign material from brake shoe recess of caliper.
4. Visually inspect piston seal for leakage.
Installation
1. Apply P.B.C. grease, included in shoe repair kit to vertical edges of shoes.
2. Push pistons into bores, using Tool J-22430. While pressing piston into bores, open bleeder valve slightly to prevent brake fluid from overflowing reservoir. Tighten bleeder valve when pistons are bottomed.
3. Assemble anti-rattle shims to brake shoes with arrow mark facing directions for normal disc rotation and install into caliper.
4. Install ``M'' type spring, pins and clips, Fig. 1
5. Install wheels and lower vehicle.
