v7. Flywheel

1) Thoroughly clean and remove the oil from the threads of crankshaft. v2) Remove the oil from the crankshaft and flywheel mounting faces.
3) Mount the flywheel on the crankshaft and then install the washer.
4) Apply Loctite 262 or its equivalent to the new flywheel fixing bolts.
5) While holding the flywheel in its regular position, tighten the screws by hand as far as possible.
6) Install the flywheel holder.

Holder : J-35271

7) Tighten the flywheel fixing bolts.

Torque kg-m(ft.lbs.) 3.0 (21.7) ---> 45~



Note:
^ Do not apply an excessive amount of sealer to the flywheel fixing bolt threads. Applying too much Loctite 262 will result in the coating overflowing onto the bolt seat. This could cause the bolt to work loose during vehicle operation.
^ On automatic transmission equipped vehicles, the flywheel washer must be installed so that the large chamfered face (outer periphery) is facing the ring gear assembly.
