I-MARK (JT) TEMPERATURE GAUGE
VEHICLES AFFECTED

I-Mark (JT) models.

SERVICE INFORMATION

During operation in extremely hot ambient temperatures, the vehicle temperature gauge needle may be consistently above the midpoint of the gauge while the vehicle itself is operating normally.

To eliminate this condition, an instrument assembly containing a recalibrated temperature gauge may be installed.
SERVICE PROCEDURE

Remove the original gauge assembly and install the new gauge assembly as instructed in the appropriate Workshop Manual.

On 1985-1986 models, the group assemblies with tachometer are secured by 2 fasteners. Gauge assemblies without tachometer are secured with 5 fasteners.

On 1987 models, a new dial plate must be used with the new gauge assembly. Each assembly is secured with 2 fasteners.
