Should you encounter a speedometer cable fluid leak, the following information will aid in correction.

A revised speedometer driven gear bushing with O-Ring has been developed. The new part will be identified by a white or blue dot placed as illustrated below. (There is no difference between bushings with a white or a blue dot.)

SERVICE PROCEDURE

When installing the driven gear into the new bushing, apply a thin coat of transmission lubricant on the gear shaft.
