Cleaning & Inspection


1. Clean all carburetor components with suitable solvent (excluding O-ring, packings, gaskets and electric parts).
2. After cleaning, blow out each passage of carburetor with dry compressed air to remove any foreign material.
3. Inspect float and needle valve as follows:
a. Check float assembly cracks or damage. Check float pin hole for abrasions.
b. Check float pin for damage and/or abrasions.
c. Check for damage on the needle valve, body and spring assembly.
d. Check needle valve seat and strainer for damage.
4. Inspect accelerator pump as follows:
a. Inspect pump piston for wear or damage.
b. Inspect springs and strainer for damage.
c. Inspect pump injector for damage.
d. Inspect accelerator pump piston bore for wear and scratches.
5. Check air vent solenoid valve, choke breaker diaphragm and choke heater units for excessive wear and/or damage.
