1. Disconnect throttle valve switch electrical connector.
2. Check resistance of switch as shown in Fig. 24, then compare with specifications in chart, Fig. 25.
3. If measured resistance is not as specified in chart, adjust throttle valve switch as follows:
a. Ensure throttle valve is completely closed, then loosen throttle valve switch attaching screws.
b. While checking continuity across switch terminals 1 and 2 with a circuit tester, turn switch body in clockwise direction until continuity is obtained.
c. When continuity is obtained, turn the switch body one degree further and lock in position, then repeat steps 1 and 2. Turning switch one degree is equivalent to approximately 5/32 inch of stroke of the throttle valve stopper bolt.

4. Inspect throttle valve switch circuit as shown in Fig. 26 then compare with specifications in chart, Fig. 29
5. If measured resistance is not as specified in chart, repair or replace faulty wires.
