Evaporative Emissions System: Description and Operation

The evaporative emission control system, Fig. 13, is designed to lead fuel vapor emitted from the fuel tank into the engine crankcase, where it is mixed with blow-by gasses and drawn into the intake manifold for combustion. This system consists of a charcoal canister, evaporator valve, intake manifold, vapor separator tank, purge control valve, roll over and float valve, two-way valve and tubes connecting these parts.
