How to Extract Codes & Perform Tests

1. Turn ignition switch to the ON position. Signal codes 2 and 6 should be displayed.
2. Depress accelerator pedal fully, then let return. Signal code 6 should be cleared.
3. Start engine. Signal code 2 should be cleared.
4. If a problem exists, LEDs will flash abnormal code.

4. When an abnormal condition occurs, the LED lamp will flash appropriate trouble codes on the TCS control unit, Fig. 2. Three quick pulses followed by a short time lapse, then three more quick pulses would indicate a trouble code 3, coolant temperature sensor abnormal, Fig. 3. When all conditions are normal LEDs turn off.
