1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove glove box hinge pins, then the glove box, Fig. 1.
3. Remove gear shift knob, then the console hole cover.
4. Remove console retaining bolts, then the console assembly.
5. Remove meter hood retaining bolts, then the meter hood, Fig. 2.
6. Remove meter assembly retaining bolts, then the meter assembly.
7. Remove speedometer cable retaining clip, then the cable.
8. Remove side trim, fuse box retaining screws and the right and left side air defroster hoses.
9. Remove steering column retaining bolts, then lower steering column.
10. Remove instrument panel retaining screw covers and retaining nut.
11. Remove instrument panel retaining screws, then the instrument panel.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
