Automatic choke fast idle is adjusted by opening angle of throttle valve on carburetor, not by engine speed.
1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Disconnect and plug vacuum line from distributor, idle compensator and EGR valve.
3. Place throttle valve on high step of fast idle cam, then adjust throttle valve opening (A), Fig. 5, to 17--19° with manual transmission or 20° with automatic transmission.
4. After throttle valve opening angle is adjusted as specified, fast idle speed should be approximately 3200 RPM.
