1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove stabilizer bar-to-tension rod bracket and insulator attaching nuts and bolts, if equipped.
3. Remove tension rod-to-body attaching nut and washer.
4. Remove tension rod-to-control arm attaching nuts and bolts then the tension rod, Fig. 3.
5. Reverse procedure to install, using new self-locking nut. Torque tension rod-to-body nut to 50 ft. lbs. and tension rod-to-control arm bolts to 79.6 ft. lbs.
