1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature, then connect suitable tachometer. Ensure throttle valve is fully closed.
2. Turn A/C off, if equipped.
3. Apply parking brake and block drive wheels, then place manual transmission in Neutral or automatic transmission in Park position.
4. Disconnect VSV electrical connector, Fig. 3.
5. Adjust idle adjust screw to obtain specified idle speed, Fig. 4.
