FUEL INJECTOR O-RING REPLACEMENT
VEHICLES AFFECTED
All Trooper II (KT), Pickup (TF) and Amigo (TC) models with fuel injected 4ZE1 engine.
All Impulse (JR) models with 4ZC1 turbocharged or 4ZD1 engine after VIN J73001 00.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Individual fuel injector O-rings and fuel insulator seals are now available. (See the "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin.) Leakage in this area of the fuel injector may be eliminated by replacing the O-ring and fuel insulator seal, instead of replacing the entire injector.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Remove the battery, common chamber and the fuel rail.
2. Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail. Note the direction of the wiring socket of each injector.
3. Replace the fuel insulator seal and O-ring on each injector. See Figure 1. Also replace the fuel injector ring, located in the air intake manifold.
4. To protect the new O-rings, apply a film of engine oil to the fuel rail injector openings.
5. Reinstall the fuel injectors to the fuel rail. Be sure that the wiring sockets are in the correct positions.
6. Reinstall the fuel rail. Torque the fuel rail fixing bolts to 1.9 +/- 0.5 kg-m (14 +/- 3 ft.lbs).
7. Reinstall the common chamber and battery.
