Variable Induction System: Service and Repair

Induction Control Valve Assembly:

1. Remove common chamber. Service and Repair
2. Disconnect VSV cable harness connector.
3. Remove ignition coil cover.
4. Disconnect oil cooler pipe bracket from bosses under induction control valve assy. (#1)
5. Remove fuel feed pipe and return hose from fuel rail. (#2)
6. Remove fuel injector harness.
7. Remove fuel rail with injectors, from induction control valve assy.

Induction Control Assembly:

8. Remove induction control valve assembly. (#4)

9. Reverse steps to refit. Be sure mating surfaces are clean, use new gaskets, tighten induction control assembly bolts to:

17 ft lb (23 Nm)
