Map Light: Description and Operation

Battery voltage is applied at all times to fuse 5 and to the dome, spot, courtesy and trunk room lights.


DOME LIGHT
When a door opens and the dome light switch is in the DOOR position, a ground path is provided by the closed door switch through the alarmer (front doors) or junction block (rear doors) and the dome light goes on. When the doors are closed, the dome light can be turned on by turning the dome light switch to ON.


SPOT LIGHT
When the spot light switch is depressed, battery voltage is applied to the light and the spotlight goes on.

COURTESY LIGHTS
When a front door is opened, a ground path is provided by the closed door switch through the alarmer (left front door) or junction block (right front door) and the courtesy lights go on.


TRUNK ROOM LIGHT
When the trunk is opened and the trunk room light switch is in the ON position, a ground path is provided through the trunk lid switch and the trunk room tight goes on.
