EGR RESTRICTOR & LINES, CLEANING

EGR Restrictor & Lines:

CAUTION: Do not run engine with restrictor removed from system.

1. Disconnect union nut (1) at outlet pipe adaptor.

2. Disconnect retaining clamp at rear of engine block.

3. Remove carburetors.

4. Remove restrictor (4) from adaptor.

5. Clean pipes and restrictor with suitable wire brush. Blow loose deposits from pipes with compressed air.

6. Check both carburetors to see that they are in good operating condition.

7. Reinstall in reverse order of removal, using new gaskets.

CAUTION: Do not run engine with restrictor removed from system.

1. Disconnect union nut (1) at outlet pipe adaptor.

2. Remove left hand carburetors. Remove right hand carburetors. Place in orderly manner in clean, safe area away from vehicle.

3. Disconnect union nuts (3), and remove pipe assemblies from engine.

4. Remove restrictor (4) from adaptor.

5. Clean pipes and restrictor with suitable wire brush. Blow loose deposits from pipes with compressed air.

6. Check all carburetors to see that they are in good operating condition.

7. Reinstall in reverse order of removal, using new gaskets.
