Lower Control Arm
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove front suspension unit and invert.
3. Remove self-locking nut and washer, securing steering tie-rod ball joint.
4. Separate rod from steering arm using tool JD 24.
5. Remove three bolts, nuts and washers securing steering rack to front suspension crossmember.
6. Remove front spring.
7. Remove two nuts, bolts and plain washers securing upper ball joint to upper control arm.
8. Remove self-locking nut and washers and separate lower ball joint from control arm.
9. Remove split pin at fulcrum shaft nut and remove nut and plain washer.
10. Drift fulcrum shaft from crossmember and recover two washers.
11. Reverse procedure to install. Do not fully tighten fulcrum shaft nut until full weight of vehicle is on suspension.
12. Fully tighten fulcrum shaft nut to correct torque and fit new split pin.
13. Check front wheel alignment.
