Technical Service Bulletin J83/28, issued in July, 1984, stated that the use of Chevron Techron could be beneficial where Injector contamination was suspect.

In addition, Bulletin J85/85, issued in November, 1985, recommended the use of Techron at 7500 mile Service intervals.

Please note that the excessive use of Techron fuel additive can have a detrimental affect on engine valves. The following recommendations for the use of Techron must be strictly adhered to:

1. Do not use more frequently than 7500 mile intervals.

2. One bottle per tank on XJ6 and one bottle only on XJ-S.

The fuel tanks must be filled completely when the Techron is added. It must not be added to tanks without filling as the concentration is increased beyond acceptable levels. Follow the directions on bottle label.
