Preliminary Test Instructions
Most power hydraulic diagnostic testing is accomplished using Jaguar hydraulic test equipment. Test procedures in following images will diagnose a hydraulic or mechanical fault. If electrical diagnosis is required, the test will refer to JDS diagnosis. JDS is Jaguar's exclusive diagnostic tester, available only at an authorized Jaguar dealer.Preliminary Instructions
Refer to TSB's 7012 & TOOLS32.
Make a visual inspection of all components, pipes, and hoses for leakage or damage.
Be sure hydraulic fluid level is correct in power hydraulic reservoir (and brake reservoir 1988-89 model years).
CAUTION: Mixing of power hydraulic and brake system fluids will cause the system seals to deteriorate and cause system failure.
Never reuse old fluid.
