Batteries
TO GUARANTEE ADEQUATE BATTERY CONDITION AT VEHICLE DISPATCH, IN-PLANT PROCESSES HAVE BEEN REVIEWED RESULTING IN THEIMPLEMENTATION OF A SLAVE BATTERY SYSTEM AND THE FITMENT OF
A NEW FULLY CHARGED BATTERY AT THE POINT OF DISPATCH. IN
ORDER THAT THE BATTERY CONDITION IS MAINTAINED DURING THE
TRANSIT PERIOD, ENSURING A GOOD STATE OF CHARGE AT PORT OF
ENTRY, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE BATTERY QUIESCENT DRAIN IS
KEPT TO A MINIMUM. TO ACHIEVE THIS, IT HAS BEEN NECESSARY
TO REMOVE CERTAIN FUSES AND DISCONNECT THE MAIN VEHICLE
MICROPROCESSOR POWER SUPPLY. THE FUSES REMOVED ARE #10 (20 AMP) AND #6 (20 AMP) - RIGHTHAND "A" POST FUSEBOX AND #2 (3 AMP) AND #6 (3 AMP) - LEFTHAND "A" POST FUSEBOX. REMOVED
FUSES WILL BE PLACED IN A PLASTIC BAG AND STORED IN THE
FASCIA GLOVEBOX. THE MAIN VEHICLE MICROPROCESSOR POWER
SUPPLY WILL BE DISABLED BY DISCONNECTION OF Pm 4 CONNECTOR
RB/LB 12, SITUATED ADJACENT TO THE MICROPROCESSOR. THE
LOWER TRIM PANEL WHICH IS REMOVED TO GAIN ACCESS TO RB/LB 12
WILL BE STOWED IN THE TRUNK COMPARTMENT. PLEASE NOTE, THE
DISCONNECTION OF THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE MAIN MICROPROCESSOR
DOES NOT EFFECT THE MOBILITY OF THE VEHICLE. ALL DISPLACED
ITEMS ARE TO BE REFITTED/CONNECTED DURING VEHICLE P.D.I.
