CONDITIONS
SECTION: 86
No: 36
Model: XJ6 3.6 Date: AUGUST, 1988
KEY POINTS: REVISED HOOD LINER
Intermittent "no-start" conditions may occur due to the hood liner coming in contact with the coolant temperature sensor connector. This may result in incorrect resistance values being measured by the ECU.
To rectify this condition, a revised hood liner (BDC 7402) incorporating increased clearance for the coolant temperature sensor has been introduced on production vehicles beginning with VIN 556518.
