COOLANT SYSTEM
Drain and Refill
- Place a drain tray in position under the radiator drain plug (1 Fig.2).
- Remove the expansion tank filler cap, remove the radiator drain plug and drain the coolant.
- Remove the rear drain block plug and drain the coolant.
- Refit the cylinder block drain plug and fit the radiator drain plug.
- Refit the power steering and transmission cooler pipes to the radiator (where fitted).
- Fill the cooling system with a solution of anti-freeze and water, move the heater valve control lever to the hot position, refit the expansion tank cap and run the engine until the thermostat is open.
- Switch off engine, remove expansion tank cap and refill with water.
COOLANT RADIATOR ONLY
Drain and Refill
- Open the bonnet and place a drain tin in position below the radiator drain plug to the offside of the radiator.
- Remove the radiator pressure cap, remove the drain plug (1 Fig 2) and allow the radiator to drain.
- Refit and tighten the drain plug, refill the cooling system with the correct solution of antifreeze and water, run the engine up to normal running temperature, top up the cooling system, refit the pressure cap and close the bonnet.
