Auxiliary Electrical Components - Connectors Available

KEY POINTS: AUXILIARY ELECTRICAL COMPONENT INSTALLATION
In order to install auxiliary electrical components to the XJ6 3.6, battery power feeds are accessible from the "A" post fuse boxes at fuse location No. 9.


To enable power feed connection, auxiliary link harnesses are available through Zone Parts Departments and are installed as follows:


WORK PROCEDURE:

1. Disconnect battery.

2. Remove lower "A" post trim at either R/H or L/H side.

3. Remove fuse box.

4. Disconnect the white 9-way connector block, (driver side "A" post fuse box: LB10. Passenger side "A" post fuse box: LB65). Using pliers, carefully pull the anti-back out plate from the connector housing, (FIG. 1A).

5. Locate pin "6" on the connector block, (FIG. 1B), and insert the auxiliary link cable. Replace anti-back out plate.
6. Connect auxiliary link cable to the power supply cable of equipment being installed.

7. Reconnect battery - check operation of equipment.

DBC 3613 (YELLOW 2.0 mm) Max. Load Capability: 10 Amps
Max. Fuse: 10 Amps continuous

DBC 3614 (GREEN 3.0 mm) Max. Load Capability: 20 Amps
Max. Fuse: 20 Amps continuous
