Rear Glass Reinstallation:
^ After removing the rear glass, remove some of the old sealant from the aperture flange using a knife. A thin bead of sealant can be left on the flange if good adhesion still exists.^ Prepare glass for glazing by removing any excessive sealant from the glass.
^ Apply a light coating of adhesive to the inner rubber flange and install into the aperture with the joint at the center of the lower section.
^ Clean the aperture flange and brush with body primer.
^ Apply adhesive to each corner of the rear window glass.
^ Install the outer rubber flange to the glass, with the joint at the lower center.
^ Install both clamps (JD 158) to the glass exterior (for use as installation handles). Clean the glass. Apply glass primer 1/2" wide (using the felt pad supplied with primer) to the interior facing glass edge.
Apply a 13-16 mm deep bead of urethane to the glass using the rubber flange as a guide.
^ Position the glass into the aperture. Fully seat the outer rubber flange into position.
^ Remove the suction clamps from the outside of the glass. Install the suction clamps (JD 158) onto the inside of the glass and turn the tensioning handles to apply tension to the glass.
^ Allow glass to set for a minimum of 2 hours.
^ After glass has set, remove the clamps and reinstall the wiring connections to the heating element.
