Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Service and Repair

COOLANT TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER





RENEW

Note the procedure described below should only be followed on a cold engine.
Open the bonnet and disconnect the battery earth lead.
Slacken the coolant reservoir cap to remove any residue pressure.
Tighten the cap.
Disconnect the supply cable (1).
Undo and remove the transmitter.
Clean the housing.

Fitting a new transmitter is the reversal of the removal procedure.
