Test 17 - Warning Output Short Circuit

Test LB86-3 (-) for short circuit to ground.

If not ground, test passed.

If ground, disconnect LB86 (-) passive restraint module.
TEST 17 - WARNING OUTPUT SHORT CIRCUIT

Test LB86-3 (-) male for short circuit to ground.

If not ground, fault is short circuit in passive restraint module.

If ground, disconnect LB13 (-) and repeat short circuit test.

If not ground, fault is short circuit in C.P.U.

If ground, fault is short circuit in bulkhead harness.

The seat belt warning Lamp should be ON.

The seat belt V.C.M. warning should be ON.

If both on, test passed.

If only warning lamp is on, test LB54-26 (-) for short circuit to ground.

If ground, fault is open circuit in instrument pack.

If not ground, fault is open circuit in bulkhead harness.

If only V.C.M. Warning on, test LB107-2 (-) for short circuit to ground.

If not ground, fault is open circuit in bulkhead harness.

If ground, test LB107-1 (-) for battery voltage.

If normal battery voltage does not exist, fault is open circuit warning lamp assembly.

If not battery voltage, fault is open circuit in bulkhead harness.

If neither warning on, test LB14-3 (-) for short circuit to ground.

If not ground, fault is open circuit in C.P.U.

If ground, fault is open circuit in bulkhead harness.
