Beginning with VIN 556851, XJ6 3.6 vehicles incorporate a passive restraint seat belt system.

JDS software is presently not available to test this passive restraint system. The functional test detailed below should be used to diagnose this system.

If any portion of the functional test is incorrect, complete the specified component tests (found at the end of the functional test). If the results of all the specified component tests are correct and a fault still exists, replace the passive restraint module and repeat the functional test.
