Distributor: Description and Operation

Marelli Distributor:

The distributor acts as a rotary switch, distributing firing voltage to spark plugs in proper firing order. The distributor is driven by a jackshaft and is located in vee of engine. There are NO components other than a rotor inside the distributor.
