Fig 8:

1. Raise and support rear of vehicle.

2. Locate the 2 p.s.i. valve (1, Fig 8) installed in the vapor line and situated forward of the axle carrier left-hand side mounting.


3. Displace the clamps securing the valve to the hoses either side and remove and discard the valve (1, Fig 9). Care should be taken during this operation to ensure the upper vapor pipe is not pushed into the luggage compartment or body grommet displaced.

4. Installed clamp CAC 8774 to existing stepped hose and clamp CAC 8772 to existing straight hose. Insert straight connector EBC 8593 (2, Fig 9) and reposition clamps to secure.

5. Lower the vehicle.

6. Open the luggage compartment.

7. Remove the spare wheel and compartment floor carpet.

8. Remove the front carpet trim from the fuel tank closing plate.

9. Visually inspect the fuel system for any sign of leakage, paying particular attention to the fuel tank area and underlying insulation pad, which if contaminated may indicate sign of fuel tank leakage. Should further rectification be necessary tblis should be completed in line with normal practice.

10. Reposition carpet trim and replace spare wheel.
11. Reconnect battery and install battery cover.
