Repair Policy
Ride Level StrutsRide level struts should only be replaced when addressing strut knock if the knocking persists immediately after bleeding the system and test 7 does not identify the cause. If knocking recurs aftef a period of time, this is due to a decay of "trapped line pressure" in the system (refer to test 7).
Vehicles within the VIN. range 594576 to 617978 should be modified by fitting ride height sensor DBC 6170 provided PHB high pressure hose CCC 2625 is fitted to the vehicle.
Vehicles prior to VIN. 594576 should be modified by fitting ride height sensor DBC 6170 provided:
1. PHG high pressure hose CCC 2627 is fitted to the vehicle.
2. The pressure relief valve in the valve block is replaced with the revised relief valve CCC 3832 using Service Tool JD 176.

Solenoid Valve Block
When investigating complaints associated with the solenoid valve block, the individual valves should be replaced, not the complete assembly. Correct replacement procedures are detailed in "Service Bulletin JD 13/89".
Reservoir Leaks (1990 MY only)
On vehicles prior to VIN. 601893. If leakage occurs from the cap seal, fit the replacement cap seal detailed in Item 6, Page 11.
