Depressurize fuel system. Service and Repair

Disconnect battery earth lead.

Remove spare wheel.

Remove two screws securing fuel pump cover to battery tray.

Peel back floor carpet, release fuel pump cover from floor clips.

Fit clamps to inlet and outlet hoses (1).

Remove two nyloc nuts and plain washers securing fuel pump retaining band to mounting, retrieve spacer washers and remove fuel pump assembly (2).

Remove electrical connector from fuel pump socket (3).

NOTE: Place suitable receptacle beneath car to collect spilled fuel.

Release two hose clips securing inlet and outlet hoses to fuel pump, disconnect hoses (4).

Separate and remove two halves of fuel pump retainer band (5).

Remove two foam rubber insulation bands (6).


Refitting is the reversal of the above operations.
