Fuel Pressure Regulator: Testing and Inspection
CAUTION: Observe all fire hazard precautions detailed in FUEL SYSTEMS / SERVICE PRECAUTIONS, when working on open fuel systems.Fuel system MUST be depressurized before disconnecting any fuelling component.
Do not pinch any braided fuel lines.
Fuel Pressure Regulator:
1. Depressurize fuel system. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Connect fuel pressure gauge. Testing and Inspection
3. Run engine and note pressure.
4. Disconnect vacuum hose to return fuel pressure regulator. Fuel pressure should increase.
5. Reconnect vacuum hose.
6. Stop engine and note pressure. Should hold pressure.
7. If pressure begins to drop, regulator is probably leaking.
