KEY POINTS: ALARM FAULT DIAGNOSIS
If an alarm system fault exists and it cannot be traced using the alarm system diagnostic procedure (included in the installation booklet), it is possible to test the input/output signals to the alarm control module using a digital volt-ohmeter.
NOTE: The alarm system is interactive with the rest of the vehicle's electrical system. If a fault condition exists, it may be caused by a fault in a related circuit.
There are two connectors at the alarm system control module. F1 is a 14 pin connector and F2, a 16 pin connector.
It is only necessary to test connections associated with the part of the system which displays the fault.
