ISSUE:
A/C rotary flaps may stick causing a constant flow of hot/cold air from either the upper or lower outlets. This can be caused by poor grounds at the microprocessor output transistors.
ACTION:
Before performing a JDS test, refer to the chart
GROUNDS
^ Disconnect and remove the A/C ECU.
^ Carefully remove the nuts and screws securing the output transistors to the ECU ground strip/heat sink.
^ Using 1000 grit (or higher) sand paper (and without lifting the transistors more than 1 mm from the ground strip/heat sink) clean the connecting surfaces.
^ Replace the screws, nuts and washers and tighten.
^ Install the A/C ECU.
