Body Panels - Excess Wax Material Removal

ISSUE:

Excess corrosion protection wax in body structure will reflow in high temperature conditions.


ACTION:

Excess wax can be removed using "Prepsol", which can be applied as many times as needed to remove all of the wax from the external panel surface.


NOTE: Do not block any drain holes to prevent leakage.

If repaint is necessary at an area where wax leaking may occur, drain holes and/or flange edges should be taped over first.


WARRANTY INFORMATION:


Solid or Metallic Colors

A) Use KK for 1st and 2nd positions
B) Select appropriate panel definition from the paint code chart for the 3rd position
C) Use H for the final code position

Metallic Colors

A) Use KM for 1st and 2nd positions
B) Select appropriate panel definition from the paint code chart for the 3rd position
C) Use H for the final code position

Repair Operation Number:

If rectification is performed as an internal "shoptime" rather than as a sublet the RON is 99.99 (the actual time punched) as set forth in the Warranty Manual under paragraph 3.2 for DCS dealers and 4.3 for non-DCS dealers.
