1991 MY Sedan Range vehicles (which begin with VIN 626009) incorporate changes from 1990 MY vehicles.

1991 MY changes are as follows:
FUEL SYSTEM
^ Revised fuel tank with in-tank fuel pump.
^ Revised routing of evaporative emission pipes and hoses.
^ Braided fuel lines replace rubber hoses.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
^ A new Alpine AJ 9100 audio unit featuring AM/FM, weather band, cassette and has CD capability. A trunk mounted compact disc autochanger is available as an option.
^ Circuit fusing has been revised, allowing additional wires and relays to be fused.
^ Pm 5 connectors are introduced and replace some Pm 4 connectors.
^ Multilock connectors are introduced and replace some PMHD connectors.
^ Wiring harnesses have been improved and incorporate ultrasonic wire splices.
^ A new battery of increased capacity, manufactured by Varta, is incorporated.
^ Instrument pack Park and Sport indicator lights change positions.
^ The instrument pack lighting remains on when the parking lights are on and the ignition is switched off.
^ "E" post rear reading lights are controlled by the ignition switch (VDP and Majestic only).
^ Cigar lighter illumination is no longer controlled by the dimmer relay.
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR TRIM
^ Interior color schemes have been revised.
^ Interior and exterior trim specifications have been revised for all models.
^ VDP and Majestic vehicles incorporate Roulette alloy road wheels.
^ VDP and Majestic vehicles incorporate rear window shades.
CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM
^ The fuel filler flap is locked and unlocked with the central locking system.
^ The central door locking system can now be unlocked by either interior front door release handle or sill button.
SUSPENSION
Revised shock absorbers are used to improve vehicle "road feel."
ENGINE MANAGEMENT
^ The ECU incorporates minor revisions.
^ The air mass meter and ignition amplifier have had minor changes.
^ The coolant temperature sensor has been revised.
AIR CONDITIONING:
^ The center vent actuator vacuum supply has changed to a single stage operation.
