CD MOUNTING BRACKET SCREWS

KEY POINTS: CD PLAYER SKIP DUE TO SHORT MOUNTING SCREWS


ISSUE:

CD player mounting screws which are too short and do not penetrate the metal trim can cause CD player skip.


NOTE: Due to variations in insulation thickness, the mounting screws supplied with the CD player (DBC 5130/A) may be too short.


ACTION:

If the 3/4" screws supplied with CD kit do not penetrate the metal panel, use a 1" long screw to mount the bracket.


CAUTION: To avoid piercing the body trim, do not use a screw longer than 1".


Installation instructions for the CD player are included with the CD changer kit. The instructions indicate that the mounting screws should not be longer than 20 mm (3/4 in.), which is incorrect. The correct screw length is 25 mm (1 in.).
