H & E Convertible, Top - Proper Lowering Procedure

ISSUE:

H & E top damage due to improper folding and/or the top fabric interfering with the top frame structure while the top is being lowered.


ACTION:

While the top is being lowered, the top fabric must be pulled away from the frame structure using the following procedure:





1. Press the top control switch down until the top is approximately halfway into the down position, (Fig. 1). Release the switch to stop top movement.

2. Pull the top fabric and pads away from the top frame as indicated in Fig. 1.

3. Press the top control switch until the top is completely folded into the well.


NOTE: The top must be dry before lowering it into the well. If the top is wet, excessive wrinkling, mildew, and discoloration will result.
